I am both a licensed psychotherapist and ordained clergyperson. Beginning in Boston, I was the director a family counseling agency for the Department of Mental Health before beginning private practice in the 90's. Blending psychology with spirituality, I was called to ordained ministry providing training in Healthy Boundaries for clergy in New England then across the country.
Hearing stories of trauma from adult survivors in houses of worship deepend my desire to integrate psychology and spirituality to offer healing to survivors and awareness to faith communities. This led me to Louisville Seminary where I completed my doctorate (DMin), in 2011.
Currently, I have a private practice in Louisville specializing in anxiety, grief, depression and the lingering effects of abuse in adulthood. I help people of diverse genders and faith traditions. Utilizing cognitive behavioral techniques alongside trauma informed practice, I believe that evidence-based research woven together with spirituality is transformative for healing.
